Dr. Nikki Iravani, OD
Founder & CEO
Prior to founding EyeXam, Dr. Nikki Iravani was the Vice-President of Clinical and Professional Affairs at CooperVision, the world's second largest contact lens manufacturer. Dr. Iravani has extensive management experience in the contact lens industry as well as clinical ophthalmology and optometry. Dr. Iravani has served as a consultant for a number of eye care related projects and is currently on the advisory board of various start up companies in the ophthalmic industry. Dr. Iravani graduated from the University of California-Irvine with a bachelor of science in biological sciences and received her doctor of optometry degree from the University of Houston, College of Optometry.

Doug Keare is a senior executive with extensive commercial, fundraising and senior-level management experience spanning nearly 20 years in the medical device and health technology sectors. Previously, Mr. Keare was Founder and CEO of RallyOn, a digital health startup in the corporate wellness space. Mr. Keare also served as Vice-President at the medical device company Accuray, where he led the Service Business for several years leading up to the company’s IPO. Prior to that, Mr. Keare held senior management positions in two internet startups, and as Vice-President of Quality at ADAC Labs led the company to win the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award. Mr. Keare earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Stanford University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Dartmouth College.
Steve Moore has extensive experience in the Silicon Valley ecosystem and a rich history in software architecture, UI/UX design, and software development in a wide range of disciplines and highly technical domains. Previously, Mr. Moore was the UI architect and usability expert at NetScout Systems for their suite of network troubleshooting and monitoring applications. Before that, he was involved with Rational Software’s test tools as a UI designer/developer and technical lead for the common components team. Prior to that, Mr. Moore designed and developed several applications that monitored the first GPS receivers for Stanford Telecom. Early in his career, he was the UI designer/developer of many technical applications -- an automated control system for Stanford’s linear accelerator, the user interface for General Electric’s nuclear power plant emergency systems, a simulation of the Galileo orbiter for NASA’s Jupiter mission, and a pilotless drone simulation for the Air Force. Mr. Moore graduated from the University of Santa Clara with a Bachelors of Science degree in Math and a Masters of Science in Applied Math.”
Steve Vargo OD MBA, managing professional services for the company holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Indiana University, a doctorate of optometry from Illinois College of Optometry, and Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the University of Phoenix.Dr. Vargo has written and lectured on using technology and social media for marketing and communication purposes. He is a regular contributor to Review of Optometric Business. In 2010 he launched a company that works with small businesses to create and manage a mobile marketing strategy. He has also served as a consultant to the pharmaceutical industry, and is a member of the Illinois Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.
Carole Bellis, corporate secretary and principal outside counsel for the company, is a partner at Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton where she leads the corporate practice group in the firm's Silicon Valley office. She works primarily with private and early stage companies in the technology and life sciences sectors which she advises with respect to securities issuances, employment and compensation matters, intellectual property protection and strategic transactions. She received her JD from the University of San Francisco School of Law and her BS in Business Administration from Florida State University.
