Children’s Eye Exams
We love kids at eyeXam. Now more than ever, kids are using more digital devices than ever before. Also, since vision makes up 80% of learning, it is essential to get your child’s eyes checked. If you are not sure how often they should be seen, this might help: (Only an examining Optometrist can determine the exact frequency a patient should be having exams definitively)
Infants and Toddlers (birth to 24 months): Infants and toddlers should undergo their first eye examination between the ages of 6 and 9 months.
Preschool Children (2 to 5 years): Preschool children should undergo at least one eye examination between the ages of 2 and 5 years.
School Age Children (6 to 19 years): School children aged 6 to 19 years should undergo an eye examination annually.
